Easter 2016

I love Easter weekend for many reasons. From the Egg Hunts, to Good Friday / Sunday Services, Family Gatherings and more, I love every bit of it!

As a Worship Leader, I love getting to lead our worship times on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. These services are always very special! This year we had a low key acoustic set for Good Friday, and then added a horn section for our Sunday services. Christ was glorified, and hopefully some of our guests were able to catch the Gospel being proclaimed through our music.

As a father, getting to teach my kids that Easter is not only about plastic eggs and candy is so important. I'll admit, I'm not the greatest teacher to my kids that I could be (still learning!), but I'm very lucky to have an amazing Wife and an amazing Children's Ministry at our church that are always looking for ways to teach them about Jesus. As our kids are getting older, and they're starting to comprehend more and more of the Story. At dinner the other night, Amanda and I listened to our 3 and 5-year-old daughters tell us about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, and then coming back to life 3 days later. This was a special moment! I couldn't help but be very thankful for everything God has done in my life and is doing in our family's lives.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
